Perfect every day.

Most of us like to plan our day, we may or may not be able to follow that plan but we do have an outline in our mind, a to-do list sorted by priorities and we find a sense of relief when the day goes by according to the set plan.

This article provides insights about things that one can do in a day, now some can schedule their whole day according to this and others can pick their favourites.

  • Wake Up early morning: It is suggested by doctors and even Ayurveda to rise before or near sunrise. Waking up at this time provides you with adequate energy, positivity and benefits your mental as well as physical health.
  • Drink adequate water: After taking 7-8 hrs( or suggested amount) of sleep, our body is dehydrated and needs that water intake to feel fresh so have some water (1-3 glasses) first thing in the morning. Now other than this, different water intakes are recommended by doctors for different age groups and genders. So remember to drink the suggested amount for a healthy body, glowing skin and active mind.
  • Brush your teeth: It has been a long debate if one should brush their teeth before or after breakfast. Now according to medical experts, brushing your teeth before breakfast is more beneficial as it fights the bacteria in the mouth and coats the enamel with a protective barrier that helps to protect teeth from acids in the breakfast. Along with this, it is extremely important to brush your teeth before going to sleep. Avoiding this may lead to dental cavities, bad breath, or gum diseases.
  • Take a bath and get dressed up: This is an activity that is highly recommended. Taking a bath refreshes one’s body and releases stress. Along with that, getting dressed up in the morning gives us a sense of accomplishing our morning routine and being ready for the day. So even if you are at home, even if you are unemployed at the time, get dressed and then move on with your day.
  • Breakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it breaks the overnight fasting period so try not to avoid it. Breakfast should be rich in nutrients and protein as it provides the body with glucose to boost alertness and energy.
  • Express Gratitude: Expressing gratitude fills us with lots of positivity as it is proven to provide us with lots of medical benefits such as less stress, better heart rate and more serotonin.
  • Challenge yourself: You must challenge yourself every day to bring out your best self. Whatever work you do, or study, try to set a challenge for yourself and then work for it with full determination.
  • Laugh: Laughing therapy is known to treat diseases thus one can estimate its power. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh and happy, and enjoy your day
  • Spend time with family and friends: These are the people who are going to stand by you and support you in difficult times so try to spend some time with them and be grateful for their presence in your life.
  • Sleep enough: Adequate amount of sleep is necessary for human health. Although different hours of sleep are recommended according to different age groups and physical conditions, one must take it enough not to be sleep-deprived and also avoid oversleeping.
  • Have proper meals: It’s important that you plan your meals in a day so that you consume appropriate amounts of fat, carbohydrates, proper vitamins and antioxidants in a day.
  • Exercise: There has been a debate about working out in the morning or evening. Well, the answer is: to each their own. It is your body, you know when you feel the most energetic so workout according to your needs. Now, when talking about exercise, it doesn’t necessarily have to include 1-2 hrs of high-intensity workout, it can be as simple as a morning/evening walk, a little bit of dancing or whatever activity makes you break a sweat.
  • Connect with nature: In today’s time, we are mostly confined in the four walls be it of our office or our home. The life of leisure has made it hard for us to enjoy nature as we rather scroll through our phones than go to a park and play for a while. But mankind has a deep-rooted connection with nature and it is important to renew that connection from time to time. So try to have a free slot in your day where you can go outside and just be with your surroundings.
